WARNING! Don’t ignore the snore!!

Snoring is seen more of a bedtime annoyance for people sleeping together, but little do they know about snoring could be a sign of an underlying health issue called Obstructive Sleep Apnea(OSA). It is one of the most under diagnosed sleep disorders and is more like a silent epidemic.

snore

So how do you know if you are suffering from OSA?

Dr.Navdeep Kumar MD,DNB(Neurology) at Indo Gulf Hospital and Diagnostic informs, “If you snore, feel excessively sleepy during daytime, if you wake up with morning headaches, if you have trouble in concentrating, if you have frequent awakenings and you are obese, you are most likely to suffer from OSA.

What Happens in OSA??

Doctor explains that “Sleep apnea occurs due to blockage of airway during the sleep. During the sleep if muscles in your upper  airway collapse with the muscles in the back of throat, it interfares with the passage of air. This leads to fall in oxygen level in the blood stream, leading to decreased oxygen supply to brain. Because of this, person remains restless with frequent awakenings and does not have a refreshing sleep. Some hormonal changes also occur in OSA which lead to increased food intake, thereby resulting in weight gain.”

Diagnosis

If a doctor suspect sleep apnea, he will check your nose, height, weight, BMI, neck circumference. Adults with this disorder have enlarged uvula of soft palate; uvula is the tissue that hangs from the back of mouth and soft palate is the soft skin in the back of your throat. Sleep apnea is diagnosed by overnight sleep study also known as Polysomnography(PSG). It records brain activity, oxygen levels, heart rate, chest and abdominal movements etc.

Reference books are good to study but only for those students who want to be a part of competitive exams after 12th. But if you want score high in 12th, only “NCERT BOOKS” are the best option  to refer.

Negative thoughts drain you of energy and keep you from being in the “Present moment”. The more you give in to your negative thoughts, the stronger they become. That’s what one small negative thought can turn into a huge, speeding ball of ugliness.

Here’s are the tips you can try as the I had done too:-

1.Forgive:

You might had a very ruining past, very dreadful but unless and until you will forgive that person, you are not going to get over it. You may think it is easy to say but difficult to implement, but it is damn sure, if you do that, definitely it will work for you.

2.Meditate or Yoga:

One of the thing I did was head to a yoga class. It took my focus away from my thoughts and brought my attention to my breath. Yoga helped me stay present to my experience so instead of Jumping to what could happen, it brought me back to the now- the only moment, the most important.

3.Surround yourself with position people:

I called a friend who I know could give me constructive yet loving feedback . When you are stuck in a negative spiral, talk to people who can put things into perspective and won’t feed your negative thinking.

nt3

4.Don’t play victim- Take Responsibility:

The way I was thinking and acting, you would think I was stuck. Even if our living situation becomes unbearable, there is always a way out. I will always have the choice to make change happen, if need be.

Before you say a single word to the interviewer, you have already made an impression based on how you are dressed. The guidelines given here are commonly accepted as appropriate for interviewing. Even company has a different dress code; how you dress at the job may have very little to do with how you dress for an interview.

         MEN

  • Dress in a manner that is professionally appropriate to the position for which you are applying. In almost all cases, this means wearing a SUIT. It is rarely appropriate to “dress down” for an interview, regardless of company dress code policy. When in doubt, go conservative.
  • You should wear a suit to interview “SUIT” means the works: a matching jacket and pants, dress shirt, tie, coordinating socks and dress shoes. A dark colored suit with light colored shirt is the best option.
  • A TIE will a add a spark in your “professional personality”.
  • Avoid loud colors and flashy ties.
  • Your hairs should be neat and clean and conservative, not to be “spiked” or some notorious hairstyle.
  • Keep your face clean shaven rather than “stylish long uncut beard”
